This farm focuses on growing heritage crops from Iran and the SSWANA region. The goal is to engage in our cultural foodways, despite being separated from our homelands.
This basil isn't Iranian because we point at it and say it's so. It's the basil who sprung up from the Earth and taught us how to be from that place.
The Reyhan we know and love is a co-creation of plant, land, and human care. It's the basil who points to us and says, "these are the Iranians who I have taught to enjoy me, fresh and by the handful.”
